Tax Tips to Help Prepare Your Taxes
Our clients are starting to drop by or mail their 2009 tax information to our office.
People who spend time organizing their information allow us to process their taxes more quickly and get their returns back to them real soon. While it's true that early filers may have less data to accumulate, they nonetheless start organizing as soon as they receive their information.
You can set up a simple file folder near your incoming mail drop and place your tax documents in that file. Many people keep a file folder handy and stuff it full of charitable donation receipts (all those neighborhood pickups!) throughout the year. Others are scanning in receipts and filing in a folder on their PC's. Some keep a running list of their information as a reminder of what may be missing.
If you want some tips on organizing your information, give me a call. I will be glad to discuss with you. Look on this web site for more useful information.
